Configure #deliver using equivalent routing rules in your mail server. This is intended for administrators using platforms other than Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

The exact screens and terminology will depend on your mail platform. Use these requirements to create an equivalent host or connector and conditional routing rule.

Confirm admin access
You need administrator access to your mail server in order to configure #deliver.
- 1Sign in to your mail server or mail administration console.
- 2Confirm that you can create outbound hosts, connectors, relays, or routing rules.
- 3Confirm that you can inspect outbound email subject/body content and headers.

Add the StayPrivate host
Add StayPrivate as an outbound host, connector, smart host, or relay destination.

- 4If your platform requires TLS settings, require TLS using a trusted certificate authority.

Create the conditional routing rule
Create a rule that identifies outbound emails containing and routes them through StayPrivate.
- 1Create a new outbound routing rule or transport rule.
- 2Configure the rule to match emails where the subject or body contains .
- 3If regex matching is required, use .
- 4Route matching emails through the host or connector you created for .

Add the processed-header exception
Add an exception so emails already processed by Documentd are not routed again.
- 1Add an exception based on message headers.
- 2Exclude emails where the header contains .
- 3If your platform separates header name and value, use header with value .

Enable and test the rule
Enable the routing rule and send a test email containing .
- 1Enable the new rule or connector.
- 2Send a test email from your company domain with in the subject or body.
- 3Attach a test document and confirm that Documentd processes the delivery.
Setup complete
You can now use #deliver
Outbound emails containing #deliver will be routed through Documentd for secure customer delivery.
